Converts on paste
The extension recognises Markdown on the clipboard and pastes it as formatted text: headings become Docs heading styles, bullets and numbered lists keep their nesting, links stay clickable.
Tables and code blocks survive
Pipe tables become real Google Docs tables and fenced code lands as a shaded monospace block. Both are what the built-in Markdown paste in Docs still loses.
Undo in one click
A small toast confirms the conversion with Undo, so a paste that was meant to stay raw is one click away. Turn the feature off from the same toast or in Settings.

Partly. Since 2024 Google Docs can convert pasted Markdown when you enable Tools > Preferences > Enable Markdown, and since October 2026 Drive opens .md files in Docs. Tables, fenced code blocks and some nested lists are still dropped, which is what the GPT Workspace extension fixes.
