GPT Workspace

Markdown inside Google Docs

The free GPT Workspace Chrome extension brings the same conversions into Google Docs itself.

Frequently asked questions

Are these Markdown tools really free?

Yes. All six tools are free with no account, no watermark and no usage cap. They are built by the GPT Workspace team as a companion to the Chrome extension.

Do my files get uploaded?

No. PDF, Word and Markdown conversion runs in your browser with open-source libraries. The only network request is the optional Open in Google Docs button, which sends the Markdown you chose to convert.

Which Markdown flavour is supported?

GitHub-flavoured Markdown: tables, task lists, fenced code with language hints, strikethrough, footnotes and autolinks, plus Mermaid diagrams and LaTeX math in the viewer and PDF export.

Do the tools work on a phone?

Yes. Every page works in mobile Safari and Chrome, with the editor and preview as tabs. File drops become a file picker.
